King`s Palace in Joplin

We came to kings palace for dinner. We got there at 920 they close at 10. Literally everything on the buffet was empty! I told the manager working what food I wanted filled and he said he wasn't filling anything because they close at 10!!! I said ok well u should close now since u have no food prepared for your customers and he still charged me $8! I will never eat here again! Terrible

I love the food taste,quality, and variety. Lovely decor, and excellent service!

Price is good. Most of the buffet is good...lo mien and rice left a little to be desired.

Food and service has completely going to the dumps. Don't read the bulletin board at health report, I almost got sick, when I noticed it wiring to pay for meal. Fortune cookies were stale, they never put anymore pork chops out after I asked three times, because there was only one, when I got there. Very sad, this used to be one of the best places to eat. Not anymore, and they do not care.

Food is very good. Doesn't dissapoint. Staff was jovial and comforting when I went.

This is the only chinese place open on Sunday in our town. We always have excellent service but the food is always poor quality. Today as i got our plates the food looked watered down and old. As i headed to my seat my sister whispered to me that she just found a roach inn her plate. We will never go back.

I took the kids last night because they wanted to try it. The waiter was nice but never there and all the food was old and not very good. Everything was really sweet, even things that should be spicy. And then to top it all off we are all sick today.

This was the best Chinese restaurant I have ever been to. The salad & fruit were fresh. All the dishes were really good. And can't beat the price.

Not as good as it use to be. Always always some screaming kid when we go, so not a place if you want a quiet dinner.

Food was dry, buffet wasn't stalked, flies in the hibachi grill section of the buffet. Protein isn't frozen for the grill. Don't know how long it's been out for? They don't clean or wipe down the buffet. Won't be back....

I HATE this place. Dirty. Smelly. Nasty. Food was NOT even given to my dog. Horrible. With so many other places to eat in this city, I suggest you choose one and be thankful it's not here. I also think Google should let a person choose either no, or negitive star ratings because this place qualifies.

Great food and quiet atmosphere, but the restrooms and floors are disgusting. Lots of choices for food including dessert.

Not impressed. My family and I wanted to eat here but as soon as we walked in the front door we were greeted by a cockroach on the wall! If they have roaches there just imagine how the kitchen looked.

Prices range from $7 to $10 depending on the day (weekend or weekday) and whether it lunch time or dinner time. They have a great selection of food. In my opinion it's the best in Joplin. I grew up in California so it was an adjustment to like Midwest Chinese food. I really don't know what the others means by calling it "nasty". It seems harsh and inaccurate. If there is something you don't like, just don't put it on your plate. I won't try egg drop soup. Who cares? People who think Cashew Chicken is the greatest thing really shouldn't comment. It's essentially chicken nuggets with gravy. Sooooo bland! If you are used to another place but you love Chinese food, give this place a try. If you are too impatient to adjust, then don't try it. My opinion is that it's the best in Joplin.

This place has cockroaches, awful good, and the worst customer service. If you read all these horrible reviews (which are 100% true) and still eat here, you deserve what you get.

In my opinion this is the best chinese buffet in Joplin. The food is very good and great selection! Pretty good service too. Well worth the price which is not that high any way.

Food was disgusting. O was scared to let my child use the bathroon they were so nasty. There was a hair in my crab ragoon. (Which was about the only good thing up until the hair) the meat for the hibachi was not frozen and looked nasty. The eggrolls looked burnt. We werent even able to finish the food and left.

We ate here last week and thought the food was pretty good but the service not so much. I went there today to get a buffet to go. It cost 2.95 more and they will not allow you a bowl of soup WHICH IS A BUFFET ITEM or any SAUCES which btw is not posted anywhere. The way I see it is if it's on the buffet it is a part of the buffet to go. You can't just put the soup in your box. This is enough for me to NEVER GO BACK.

The place was nasty. There was a roach in my daughters drink. I'm pretty sure they were shut down soon after for many repeated health code violations. Good riddance!

don't call and ask them for frog legs they will hang up on you and don't ask them for chopsticks because they don't have any but the food is pretty good

I wish I would have read reviews before I went there!! It was 8:30 last night and a friend and I were in town wanting Chinese so we went here. All of the food was old and we should have just left. They cooked fresh a plate of 2 things I asked for. We were the only customer so they just sat around staring at us while they waited for us to leave. The cockroaches that started appearing just about made me sick and the wobbly leaking toilet was not very fun either.

This is my favorite buffet in Joplin. They have a large variety and a good price. They are also possibly the only restaurant i've been to that plays Christian music. Not sure why it is posted as closed i think they were just renovating or something.

Cannot give zero star, so I guess one will have to do, although it is more than this place deserves. The food is gross and the host kept clearing his nose out in the open. Waste of $9.00 per each member of the family. Will never come back here again. If you are wanting Chinese food, please go somewhere else.

Went here for my birthday one year and The waiter was to stupid to know how to seat a party of ten so we all just moved tables together. And I'm surprised I didn't​ get food poisoning.

If I could give no stars I would. This place is aweful!! The food is poorly prepared and either dried out or very old. The place is gross and poorly cleaned. The server didn't refill our drinks told us it was including in buffet(it's not) never even came to our table after seating us (which was just you sit in back) charged the kids as adults and we had to clean old plates off our table and put on the table plates were still on before we got there. And after going to manager to complain they didn't do anything and was even rude. The place had maybe 4 other families in there besides us and we didn't get served or waiting properly and they call themselves a business. DO NOT GO HERE!!!! POOR SERVICE POOR FOOD

The service is good, but food is poor. The floors are always sticky. They sweep with a broom, have never seen a mop, and the bathrooms are a turn off. Unfortunately I won't be back. There are small buffets with more in Joplin. Sorry.

Best asian buffet on Rangeline. Better when you hit it during peak hours

The food was just "okay." I did like the Cashew Chicken and Crab Rangoon. I didn't really find anything else very good. The sweet and sour sauce was just sweet...very sweet. I was up half the night in the bathroom sick. I can't say for certain that it was the food, but made me suspicious.

Food is horrible. Service was decent but very very very nasty food. Don't recommend ever going to this place unless you are starving in a zombie apocalypse.

The check came out before my 1st drink refill. My buffet plates were never cleared. In general the service was incredibly lacking. The food wasn't much better.

My family went last night. Horrid! I couldn't stand to eat any of the food! I only was able to eat the soup and fruit. Everything else we tried tasted sooo bad. The service was sub par, the atmosphere was bad. It looks like this place is consistently going down hill which is a shame as I used to like it. We will never be going back.

3 stars only because they didn't devein the shrimp. Would have been a 4. Had the house FRIED RICE.... Was pretty Good. Guy who answers the phone hangs up on you after 1 question... He should make sure you are done talking b4 he hangs up.

Horrible food!! Under cooked and ROTTEN!! horrible service. I myself being in culinary school honestly have no clue how or why this place is still open!! I honestly am only giving it a star so I can put a review. Also price was unreasonable for the quality of the food!

Average food, but the place is getting really run down and NASTY. Restrooms​ are disgusting, grime embedded everywhere...makes me wonder what's behind the kitchen doors. I don't think I'll be back.

Don't waste your money. Food was old dried up and cold food was warm. We just watched a man get up and get his own refill because the waiter was nowhere around. We came in at 3 and were charged for dinner price at 4. Bathrooms are disgusting and filthy! Can't even see yourself in the mirror. Dust and dirt build up on the hand dryer. Floors were lined with cardboard boxes and soaked. Smelled of mold. Looks like all they do is change out the garbage. Very unsatisfied! Came here about a year ago and loved it. We came all the way from Springfield to eat here and this is what we got. Need a 0 star rating to pick from!

Raw food was served on the buffet. We brought it to the owner's attention and we were served a specially prepared plate that still had partially raw food. Owner still ended up making us pay for our buffets even though we had barely even touched the food. I'm confident in saying King's Palace is the most garbage buffet in Joplin.

The day I was in there there was a big messy explosion in the bathroom. I was gagging. I went and told the owner how gross the bathroom was and he gave me a wierd look I was crazy. My motto is if the bathrooms are clean so is the kitchen. I havent been back. And I truly liked this place. Affordable food. No long waiting. Great service.

I absolutely love this place and come here as often as I can it's reasonably priced the waiters and waitresses are always prompt and kind the food is always extremely fresh and hot and the variety is something you cannot beat!!

I use to like this place but last time we ate here the food was really lacking in quality. Everything from the chicken to the rice and noodles was just super bland and didn't have any flavor. East Buffet in Webb city is better. This place is getting run down and going downhill.
